Arrive to each class on time every day....The COLTS Way!
Being on time is a life skill and an expectation at River Heights. COLTS are expected to be on time to
each class. When a student arrives to class late, both instruction and learning time are lost. We
understand that occasionally something happens that prevents a student from being on time.
However, after a student has been tardy (3) times to any class or combination of classes, the student
will be expected "buy back" the valuable time during their lunch. Thank you for reminding your child to
be in class on time every day.......The COLTS Way!
Cell Phones and Devices "Off and Away" during the School
Day
Thank you for reminding your child(ren) that cell phones, smart watches, and any device other than
the CNUSD issued chrome book are to be "Off and Away" during the school day unless given
permission by a staff member. This includes during passing periods and during lunch time. If your
child needs to reach a parent or guardian, please have your child ask a teacher for a pass to go to the
front office and our staff will be happy to assist your child.
In the event that a student has his or her cell phone out during "Off and Away" times, their cell phone
may be secured in our "phone valet" in the Principal's office for safe keeping until the end of the school
day.
Sometimes students are in the office to provide information for an investigation or in our Reflection
Area to be seen by a member of the administrative team. When students are in our office or Reflection
Area, cell phones will be kept in our "phone valet" until the student is released back to class.
Thank you for your support and understanding of our campus-wide cell phone and device policies.
Should you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to a member of our
administrative team.
