Colts Families,
It was truly a fantastic week of celebration here at RHIS. We kicked things off with a fun undercover staff spirit day where staff surprised students and one another by wearing festive holiday blow up costumes. Laughter and joy filled our campus from the very start of the week.
Our RHIS admin team also hosted a lively staff meeting filled with delicious tamales, fun games, and heartfelt gifts as a small way to say thank you to our incredible staff for all that you do for our students each day.
Next, our top athletes from each PE class participated in our annual Spirit Games at ERHS. A huge shout out to our amazing PE department, Mrs. Vidaca, Mrs. Martinez, Mrs. Bell, and Mr. Cabral, for organizing such a fun and engaging schoolwide event. It was wonderful to see our students competing, cheering, and celebrating one another.
The celebrations continued as the admin team rolled a churro cart into PLCs as our way of saying we have got this and thank you for all you do. The smiles were priceless and the churros were a big hit.
If you did not get a chance to attend our first annual theater performance, Mrs. Cahill and her students did an outstanding job with their rendition of A Christmas Carol. Our facilities were packed with fans and theater lovers. Thank you, Mrs. Cahill, for bringing such a special and memorable event to our campus.
A heartfelt thank you to our amazing counseling team and Ms. Elmore for organizing our annual foster youth gift luncheon and extravaganza. An additional thank you to all staff who donated and helped make our students holiday wishes come true. Your generosity truly made the season magical.
Looking ahead to this upcoming week, we are excited for our Band Holiday Extravaganza and our attendance challenge. Please ensure your Colt attends school every day and arrives on time as we finish the semester strong.
Lastly, our final day of the semester is Wednesday, December 18, with an early release time of 11:40 AM.
To all our RHIS families, thank you for your continued support. We wish you a holiday break filled with joy, rest, and special moments together. We look forward to welcoming students back on January 12, 2026.
Warmly,
Eva Isett, Ed. D.
Proud RHIS Principal
