Good Evening COLT Families-

I think we are all feeling both excited and nervous as we plan for the first day of Virtual or Remote school this coming Tuesday, August 11th.  We’re hoping the following information will help our families feel a little more prepared and a little less nervous!

Student Schedules

Schedules will be able to be viewed in Parent Connect and Student Connect Sunday evening, August 9th.  The student schedule will indicate if the student is enrolled in (T) Traditional Track or (VS) Virtual School Track.  The schedule you view on Sunday will more than likely reflect the Program Choice parents selected in July.  If you did not submit a request for a Program Choice, your student will automatically be scheduled in the (T) Traditional Track.  Some parents contacted our office or Student Services requesting a change in program.  Our site administrative team received the list of students requesting a program change this afternoon.  We are reviewing the requests and making every effort to honor the requests.  However, the program changes most likely will not occur until Monday morning. Thank you for being patient as we try to accommodate as many changes as possible on Monday.

Being Ready for the First Day of School

In an effort to ensure that your student is able to successfully access their student email (StudentID#@students.cnusd.k12.ca.us) for class codes/links for the first day of instruction on August 11, 2020, please make sure your child completes each of the following steps:

  1. Go to my.CNUSD.k12.ca.us
  2. The sign in page should open. Type in your student Username and Password (Username is your 6-digit Student ID number and your Password is the same as what you use to log in at school) 
  3. If prompted from Microsoft to enter your email address, use studentIDnumber@students.cnusd.k12.ca.us

For example 123456@students.cnusd.k12.ca.us

  1. The myCNUSD page should open. From here you can access Student Connect (for grades), your school Email account, and Digital Classrooms.
  2. Click on the “Email” link on the left under myCNUSD
  3. If your student can successfully log in to their CNUSD school email, then they are ready to receive instructions from each of their teachers. 
  4. If for any reason your student is not able to login to their myCNUSD, please go to the sign in page or visit the link below.

Note: Students can update their password if they know their current/expired password. If students have previously created security questions on this website https://password.cnusd.k12.ca.us they can create a new password even if they don't remember the old password. As a reminder, only CNUSD school email will work to access classes and teacher instructions

 

 

Join us on Facebook Live

Once teachers receive their class rosters this weekend, many will begin reaching out to their students.  Additionally, the River Heights administrative team wants to provide an opportunity for parents to meet with us and ask any last minute questions before the first day of school.  Please plan to join us for a Facebook Live session Monday, August 10th at 3:00pm.
