A message from the Counselors 

There is no doubt we are living in stressful and anxiety provoking times right now. Never in your lifetime has there been a pandemic such as this. You are forced to make major changes that undoubtedly have caused some fear and panic. We would like to give you a few ideas that may help.· This is temporary, it wont last, every challenge you have faced you have gotten through· Try and learn from it, what am I doing that helps, what am I doing that makes it worse· Practice deep breathing, inhale through your nose and exhale through the mouth slowly. Play fun games with family and friends. These could be online or board games· Think about what has relaxed you in the past· I realize its difficult not to worry but worrying doesn’t help and can make it worse by causing physical issues in your body· Have a routine, write it out and follow it. Idle time is not good for you physically or mentally.Talk with someone about your concerns, RHIS counselors can help, please refer to the RHIS Counselors page for more information.
