
Persuasive Speaking
Students will learn how to select current event topics, interesting to them, conduct research, analyze evidence, outline and draft persuasive speeches, and perform their speeches.
Extemporaneous Speaking
Speech & Debate class offers students an opportunity to give persuasive speeches on current events issues. Students will learn to take their growing knowledge of domestic and international topics and give compelling speeches on those topics with very limited prep time.
Expository/Informative Speaking
RHIS students will be instructed on appropriate ways to create, handle, and present visual aids during their speech performances for maximum effect.
Impromptu Speaking
Speech and Debate class allows students to develop their critical thinking and presentation skills within a specified time frame.
Mock Trial
Students will learn how courtrooms operate as well as take the roles of prosecution and defendant in various mock trials.
